This is a class blog for Dr. Kristen Alley Swain's journalism students who produce video stories about sustainability issues in the Oxford-Ole Miss community.
The overall video was very good. However I would turn down the voice over. It goes from very quite interviews to an extremely loud voice over. Turn voice over down and turn interviews up.
This is a well put-together first draft. You mainly stick to the point of the video, and I didn't ever feel like I was listening to dead content. You might want to redo the interview with the lady, because the background noise got really distracting. As for the interview with the guy, consider redoing it and seeing if you can get it done without all of the "ums" in this draft. It's a little distracting. Also, I'm not sure how I feel about the opening shot. It sort of takes away from the video when only one of the students has a bike. Just something to consider. Really good job.
I thought this was a very well made video for a first draft. It was hard to hear the OMOD manager and the woman due to the wind and them not speaking up. I love the topic and find it very interesting. Can't wait to see the final product!
The video was very good and full of good information and facts throughout. The only critiques I have would be to turn down the audio a bit during the voice over and maybe add a bit more b-roll. But overall I think this is a great video, I especially like the opening sequencing shots. BNelson
